Hello. I’m Donald James, a North and South Carolina home inspector and owner of ECI Inspections. Thank you for visiting and considering us to inspect your home or prospective home. I’d also like to congratulate you on doing research before choosing a home inspector. A home purchase is one of the biggest investments you will ever make. Surrounding yourself with competent, qualified professionals is the best way to make sure that your investment is sound.
As a Licensed Home Inspector and a NC Residential General Contractor I have the experience and home construction knowledge that I believe gives me more insight into the inspection process. Making mountains out of mole hills isn’t my job. Neither is glossing over important defects found. I have no vested interest one way or the other in your purchasing the home or property, so you will be getting my unbiased opinion of the home as it stands the day of the inspection. If there’s a big problem or big ticket repair required, I’ll treat it as such. If there’s a minor defect, I will report it, but also give the appropriate emphasis as well. It is what it is. The most important thing is for you to have all the information you need to make an informed decision. That is what I do for each and every one of my customers.
I don’t decide anything. I simply inspect the home and inform you completely on the condition of the home. When you have all of the information, you can make the best decision for yourself and your family and have the peace of mind that comes with it.
